Platform Paths

Connected programmes for practical digital workplace competencies.

Each path has its own focus, but the platform is designed so the same competencies reappear in increasingly realistic combinations.

PATH 01

Remote Collaboration & Shared Work

This path focuses on what happens when work moves between people. Learners practise reviewing shared documents, recording decisions, using comments with a clear purpose and preparing hand-offs that another person can understand without a follow-up meeting.

Exercises include cleaning an over-commented document, converting informal meeting notes into decisions and next actions, deciding whether a piece of information belongs in chat or a shared record, and preparing an asynchronous update for someone in another time zone.

The path is suitable for learners who already use email and online documents. No specific collaboration suite is required because the exercises focus on transferable patterns rather than one software brand.

Self-paced modules; selected cohorts may include optional live walkthroughs.

PATH 02

Workflow Organisation for Everyday Digital Tasks

Learners examine recurring tasks that are difficult to follow because ownership, waiting points or completion criteria are unclear. The focus is on making a process understandable without creating unnecessary administration.

Practice includes simplifying an overcomplicated workflow, identifying where a task regularly stalls, writing a useful task description and deciding which status changes are meaningful enough to record.

The path does not teach project management as a discipline. It stays narrowly focused on the organisation of everyday digital work.

Scenario exercises, workflow reconstruction and independent review.

PATH 03

Information Handling & Everyday Data

This path introduces careful work with small tables and records. Learners inspect missing values, duplicated entries, inconsistent labels and mixed formats before making a simple summary.

Exercises are deliberately modest in scale so the learner can focus on reasoning. A task may ask whether a category should be standardised automatically or flagged for human review, or whether a simple percentage actually answers the original question.

Basic spreadsheet familiarity is helpful, but advanced formulas or statistics are not required.

Practice files, short checks and guided comparison examples.

PATH 04

Digital Communication in Context

This path treats communication as part of the digital workflow. Learners compare email, messaging, shared comments and task updates and decide which channel is appropriate for a particular audience and record-keeping need.

Activities include rewriting unclear requests, separating a decision from surrounding conversation, preparing concise progress updates and identifying when a message lacks enough context for the reader to act.

The emphasis is practical clarity rather than generic communication theory.
